Studio Graphene launches not-for-profit initiative in India - Build My Idea India

"We are excited to announce the launch of Build My Idea India. This brand-new initiative means anyone in India has the opportunity to harness the skills and expertise were proud to hold as a team."
Ritam Gandhi, Director, Studio Graphene

Studio Graphene has launched a new competition, Build My Idea India, in which it will offer their digital product and marketing services free of charge for five working days.

The digital agency, which has offices in London, Geneva and Delhi, is calling for submissions from the general public, solo founders and entrepreneurs, startups, charities, or innovation teams from larger organisations.

Studio Graphene will select one charity idea / challenge and work with the not for profit entirely for free. Entries will need to have a clear idea of exactly what digital product and marketing services they could benefit from, and be for a not-for-profit cause with a positive social impact.

Applications can be submitted here

Entries close on Friday 22nd November, with the winning idea announced on Monday 2nd December and built for free over five working days between Monday 16th December and Friday 20th December.

Those responsible for the winning idea will need to be free to come to Studio Graphene’s office in Gurugram for a few hours during the build week to work with its project team.

Build My Idea India is the first international iteration of Studio Graphene’s successful Build My App initiative, which was launched in 2018 to show how organisations in the charity sector can effectively harness the power of technology to improve the way they engage with society. Previous winners include Signalong – an app that teaches people sign language for everyday objects – and The Restless, an app built to increase the number of people attending volunteering experiences, working with community group Semble

Ritam Gandhi, Founder and Director of Studio Graphene, said: “Following the success of Build My App in the UK, we are excited to announce the launch of Build My Idea India. This brand-new initiative means anyone in India has the opportunity to harness the skills and expertise we’re proud to hold as a team.

“Our decision to launch this competition in India comes as Studio Graphene continues to expand its presence in the country. We want Build My Idea India to show how existing technology can be creatively and efficiently used for a positive social cause, which is why I encourage anyone with an idea, no matter how elementary or advanced it may be, to submit an application."
