International coworking developer, Areaworks, has announced its first unique and innovative site in the UK, in Hoxton, East London, opening this July.
It will bring a new way of working to the local area by creating an open community for those looking for a stylish location that’s much more than just a workspace.
Areaworks Hoxton will provide a creative hub to help support local businesses in the area and build a community – a supportive environment for SMEs, entrepreneurs, creatives and freelancers.
The on-trend, open interior will be specially designed to provide inspiration and encourage people to do more together, with areas which can be transformed for workshops, lectures, brainstorms and breakouts.
There’ll be a roof terrace with insta-worthy views across London where members can make the most of the Great British summer and a living room area which is a comfy and fun place to chill, helping everyone achieve that all important work-life balance.
It will offer 28 full time working desks and 56 flexible desks in an innovative setting from July. Areaworks is located right by Regents Canal and will celebrate the history of the building and the local area, with original features exposed and brought into the 21stcentury with a pop of colour and a playful tone.
The Hoxton location was uniquely selected based on the rising demand for alternative, creative work spaces following the East London Tech City Initiative, launched in 2010 to attract technology companies to the area. It has since boomed to include thousands of businesses and over 1M people.
Panny Lawrence, Founder and Director of Areaworks, said: “Hoxton is one of the most vibrant places in the UK with a real sense of community and a strong reputation for supporting local businesses. Our coworking space will champion like-minded business owners and creatives, giving them a sense of community and a base to build their businesses.
“The blueprint for our coworking spaces is derived from the kind of place I could only have dreamed of when I was starting out in business. A community of talent who are able to share their skills and knowledge. Areaworks adds a personal touch that large traditional workplaces cannot. We’re proud to be a part of Hoxton and support local businesses achieve their full potential.
“We’ve got big plans for the UK and we’re hoping to mirror the success of our parent company’s coworking spaces worldwide, starting in Hoxton with plans to launch even more locations.”
Areaworks and its parent company, Workspace Commerce, follow in the footsteps of Google, Amazon, and McKinsey that have invested in the Hoxton and Shoreditch area to date.
Areaworks Hoxton will be open from 9am – 6pm, with 24-hour access available upon request. Free tea and coffee, a communal kitchen space and free printing, scanning and photocopying facilities are also available to those who join, enhanced by its gym membership offering in partnership with The Gym Group – a London-based fitness powerhouse which pioneered high-specs but flexible, affordable gym memberships across the UK; all providing a unique sense of community and an environment that acts as a support network for the entrepreneurial people of the area.
Membership packages start from £249 per month for a flexible desk and dedicated desks from £299 per month. Those who sign up for a 12-month term will also receive their first month’s rent free of charge. For more information please visit http://areaworks.com/areas/#hoxton.
