MYHSM Bolsters Executive Team with New CTO

"Its an exciting time to join MYHSM, with it recently launching its services utilising Thaless payShield HSMs"
Andrew Hodges, CTO at MYHSM

The global provider of Payment Hardware Security Modules (PHSM) as-a-Service, MYHSM Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Licentia, has welcomed innovative PayTech specialist, Andrew Hodges as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience as an engineer both in the payments space and beyond. Beginning his career in electronics, designing automotive engine management systems, he soon progressed into the payment software space, developing operating systems at Verifone.

As one of the founder members and CTO at Chip & PIN mPOS specialist Miura Systems, Andrew designed the Miura electronic and security platform and built the development team from scratch, helping to grow the business from a standing start into a global leader in their field.

In his new position at MYHSM, Andrew will utilise his extensive experience in software security and cryptography to play a key role in supporting the technological development of MYHSM’s solution into a gold standard for PHSM-as-a-Service.

The company delivers secure and versatile solutions in the cloud, reducing the need for investment in hardware, secure facilities, management, and ongoing PCI compliance overheads such as card scheme security audits.

MYHSM provides a unique, cloud based PHSM offering, from testing to pilot to full roll-out.  The company works with a wide spectrum of customers including merchants, acquirers, payment service providers (PSP), payment facilitators (PayFac), and issuers. The benefits of its technology range from simplified operations, reduced costs, dynamic scalability, to the reassurance of best-in-class performance with global reach.

Speaking about his appointment, Andrew remarked: “It’s an exciting time to join MYHSM, with it recently launching its services utilising Thales’s payShield HSMs. The company is growing rapidly and aims to claim significant market share thanks to its innovative cloud-based PHSM offering. I’m looking forward to developing MYHSM’s ground-breaking technology into a world-leading payment solution.”

Phil King, CEO at Licentia added: “Andrew brings with him some truly formidable expertise and insight into the latest developments in payments security, from his time working for leading technology brands. His experience and skillset are ideal for MYHSM and will be instrumental in empowering the company to become a true leader in the PHSM field. I am excited to be working with him closely into the future.”
